Construction Site Supervisor

People Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor for a three-month contract in Victoria. The successful candidate will manage daily residential construction activities, coordinate trades and suppliers, monitor project progress, and ensure work is completed safely and according to approved plans.

The role requires a practical and organised supervisor who can maintain construction quality, manage deadlines and communicate effectively with subcontractors, clients and management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily residential construction activities on assigned sites
• Coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers and material deliveries
• Ensure work is completed according to approved plans and specifications
• Monitor construction schedules, workmanship, costs and project milestones
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
• Identify and resolve construction issues without unnecessary delays
• Maintain accurate site diaries, inspection records and progress reports
• Provide regular project updates to management and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure sites remain organised, secure and safe
• Monitor the availability and appropriate use of construction materials
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and WHS requirements
• Support the timely completion and handover of assigned projects

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or in a similar residential construction role
• Relevant qualification in Building and Construction, Civil Construction or a related field
• Sound knowledge of Victorian building requirements and construction standards
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, tradespeople and suppliers
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and multiple site activities
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Basic computer skills for preparing reports and project updates
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Full Australian working rights
• Availability for the complete three-month contract

• Three-month fixed-term contract
• Total contract payment of AUD $25,000–$35,000, depending on experience and agreed terms
