Audit Managers act as a bridge between senior management and staff, driving efficiency, accuracy, and value in audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements for clients across various industries.
- Review financial statements and audit work papers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff and associate auditors.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Coordinate audit planning, risk assessment, and reporting schedules.
- Ensure audits comply with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) and auditing regulations.
- Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to clients and senior management.
- Support business development and client acquisition initiatives.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) and auditing principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification required.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in auditing, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with external audits for medium to large clients preferred.
