Meat Packer

A Meat Packer is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling meat products for distribution. This role ensures that meat is processed according to health and safety standards and is packaged efficiently to maintain quality and freshness.

Duties include:

• Receiving, inspecting, and preparing meat cuts for packaging.
• Operating packaging machinery and tools safely.
• Ensuring proper labeling, weighing, and portioning of products.
• Maintaining hygiene standards in the processing and packing area.
• Storing finished products appropriately for dispatch or storage.
• Following company and regulatory food safety protocols.
• Assisting with inventory management and reporting discrepancies.

• Attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and labeling.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy meat products and stand for long hours.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to operate packaging machinery safely.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in meat processing, food handling, or packaging is advantageous.
